After enough time, the constant pressure from sporting these shoes can cause nerve pain, blisters, bunions, and bruises to form under the wearer’s toes. The high heels many of these types of shoes feature can also lead to a variety of foot deformities, such as hammertoe and abnormal bending of toe joints that overtime become ridged. In some extreme cases, surgery is required to relieve the pain caused by these conditions.
